Board Profile: Nick Warden

I am Head of Investment for Incommunities. Previously, I worked for Accent Housing for 20 years, starting as an office junior and working my way up through repairs, dealing with plans and maintenance works and ultimately becoming a manager of regional planned works teams, working on customer safety, compliance and the Building a Safer Future Charter.

I joined the Board for my own personal development and growth and to understand how I can use my experience to help make a difference. I was attracted to the Horton and Chartford Boards because of the work that they do to support the clients they work with. I really enjoy learning how the organisation works to provide an excellent service to the people they support and also the people who work here.

What I bring to the Board is my personal experience of asset management, compliance and safety knowledge. My experience working for a housing association gives me an understanding of how they operate and how I can make a difference. Through my involvement, I learn from the vast, diverse experience and knowledge of other board members.

Away from the Board, my main passions are Bradford City football club and metal detecting.

Nick is chair of the Chartford Housing Limited Board.
