The ladies knitting group at the Millside Centre in Bradford have very kindly donated a fantastic selection of hand-crafted items for the Afghan families that we are supporting under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP).
The cameras from BBC Look North were on hand to film the heart-warming meet up, which saw the Millside Centre ladies hand over the garments before everyone got together and started doing what they love – knitting!
“I’m really grateful for these gifts,” said one of the Afghan ladies. “I did do some knitting before, but now we are doing more when there isn’t that much to do.”
