It was very motivating to read about Chartford Housing Limited and Horton Housing Association’s vision, purpose and areas of focus. This serves a critical unmet need today and I would very much like to be part of a team creating this focus on social housing and working hard to meet those unmet needs.
Having spent nearly 15+ years in financial services, an opportunity to support this cause which touches real lives and allows me to pay back to the community is highly motivating and helps add purpose for me.
I have run complex business areas, commercials, with deep regulatory acumen, legal negotiations, setting policies alongside leading and nurturing teams. I aim to bring versatile problem solving, strategic thinking, focus on equality and diversity, optimisation of scarce resources, setting up effective operating models, a balanced risk management approach, knowledge of finance, business management, and balancing solutions with legal and regulatory considerations.
My day job requires me to identify innovative solutions for customers’ financial needs to be met with specific focus on vulnerabilities. To be effective I also need to stay on top of macro factors not limited to emerging social, political and economic dynamics.
A role like this will challenge my thinking and help me think harder and broader than my day job which is something I am extremely keen to progress. The offered 360 appraisal and coaching opportunities will also be very valuable for my development.
On a personal note, I am married to Gaurav, we have two children and live with our precious golden retriever, Sam. I enjoy reading, travelling, the outdoors and learning new things!
