Board profile: Rosemary Keczkes

I am a solicitor that has specialised in Housing Law and have been a member and former Chair of the Law Society’s Housing Law Committee for several years. I have also been a former trustee and Chair of Pickering and Ferens Homes, a housing association in Hull. I have worked in-house at housing associations and local authorities.

I wanted to become a Board Member because I want to make a difference and to use my experience for the benefit of the organisation and community. I was attracted to Horton Housing and Chartford Boards because of the work they do and support given to people who use their services.

I bring to the Board my experience of dealing with repairs and maintenance issues from a legal perspective and from my experience in this area operationally.

I also come from a background where my parents were refugees and have a passion for safeguarding values in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion. I am also very committed to training and development so everyone can be the best that they can be.

Through my involvement I hope to learn from other Board Members and to develop my skills in strategic management.
