Welcome to your new home

We provide safe and supportive accommodation for young people aged 16 to 18 living in the Bradford district.

If you are not currently a tenant and would like to be referred to our young person’s accommodation, please check here for our eligibility criteria: Group Living Service – Horton Housing

You can read this guide in a different language by pressing on the translate button at the top of the screen.

You can also ask your support worker for a printed copy of this guide or we can provide this guide in an accessible format such as audio on request.

Where will you be living?

We have three large properties in the Bradford District. You will be sharing the accommodation with other residents but you will have your own bedroom, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom.

You will be sharing a kitchen area, living space and garden with the other tenants and we will encourage you to join in planned activities such as games, movie nights, cooking and crafts.

While you are living with us, you will have a dedicated support worker who will help you to achieve your goals. This might be to move into your own tenancy or return home, go to college or university, or find a job. They will help you to manage your money, your health and your wellbeing.  Your support worker will meet you privately at least once a week.

However, you can speak to any of the staff at any time. There are pictures of the team on the notice board by the front door so you know their names. There will always be at least one member of staff at the property at all times.

While you are staying with us, we will support you to live independently. We have made an agreement that all our young people will actively participate in education, training or seek employment. We are not here to pressure you but we believe in your potential and we will do everything we can to help you unlock it.

We will encourage you to be yourself and pursue your hobbies and interests. We will work with you to keep you safe and well while you are staying with us and take an active part in planning for your future. Where appropriate, we will help you to stay connected with your family and friends.
