We have different categories of repairs:
Emergency repairs – a contractor will attend within 24 hours if there is a serious risk to health, safety or security to the tenant, another person or damage to the property. This includes major plumbing problems, a blocked toilet (where there is no alternative), total loss of heating in winter, total loss of water or energy or dangerous structures.
Urgent repairs – a contractor will attend within three days if the repairs require attention to prevent undue risk or inconvenience to the tenant e.g. no hot or cold water, water leaks or loss of main heating source.
Seven day repairs – a contractor will attend within seven days if the repairs do not need immediate attention but pose a risk or inconvenience to you if not dealt with, or require attention to prevent further deterioration to the property. These include minor plumbing leaks or defects, minor electrical faults, faulty TV aerial and repairs to a washing machine (where we have provided it).
Routine repairs – a contractor will attend within 28 days if the repairs can be reasonably delayed without serious discomfort or inconvenience, or long term damage to the property. These include minor plumbing repairs, general joinery e.g. repairs to cupboards and kitchen units, repairs to isolated lights or sockets.
