Staying warm in winter is important to keep healthy and safe.

Keep your home warm by:

  • Trying to heat the rooms you spend the most time in, such as the living room or bedroom, to at least 18 degrees Celsius
  • Using draught excluders around doors to ensure heat stays in the room
  • Drawing the curtains when it gets dark.

Keep yourself warm by:

  • Moving about regularly
  • Wearing plenty of layers
  • Drinking hot drinks to keep you warm
  • Covering your head and hands when you’re out and about e.g. wearing a hat and gloves.
