We welcome donations of gifts, toys, clean good quality clothing, books, DVDs and other goods.
To register your donation, please check your items against the following and email: donations@hortonhousing.co.uk or phone Shabana on 07525 667884.
We happily accept the following…
- Jumpers
- Jeans
- Fleeces
- T-shirts
- Basic casual wear
- Clean useable shoes
- Soft furnishings (with fire safety labels) in good, clean condition
- Arts and crafts materials
- Books
- CDs and DVDs (that are not home recorded)
- Complete toys and games (with CE label if it’s a soft toy).
- Unopened toiletries in their original closed packaging.
- White goods
Unfortunately,
we are NOT able to accept the following…
- Wedding dresses
- Evening clothes
- Uniforms with badges or logos
- Beachwear
- Underwear and socks (unless they are unused and still in the packaging)
- Electrical items
- Bric-a-brac
- Knives and scissors
- Bedding – duvets, pillows, blankets (unless they are unused and still in their packaging).
- Incomplete or broken puzzles, games or toys.
- Toiletries which have been opened.
Food Items
Donate food and make a difference for someone in need today.
We happily accept the following…
Food that is in date and non-perishable:
- Pasta
- Rice
- Tinned meat/fish/vegetables/fruit
- Oats
- Cereal
- Jam
- Tea
- Coffee
We also welcome…
Community cooking and one-off food business donations such as refrigerated food that is within the use-by date and clearly labeled for allergens (from food businesses only).
Unfortunately,
we are NOT able to accept the following…
- Food items containing alcohol or that is alcohol-flavoured
- Baby formula
- Open, used, or out of date items
- Hot food (it is too hard to keep food to a temperature of 63°C during transport).
- Refrigerated food from non-food businesses or individuals.
