Kind-hearted staff give homeless families the gift of Christmas

Generous staff at Eccleshill Treatment Centre, who are part of Westcliffe Health Innovations, have collected 22 boxes of goods for homeless families this Christmas. They gave toiletries, toys, books, household items, coats, hats, scarves, gloves and clothes for clients at various Horton Housing schemes in Bradford. Horton Housing provides housing, training and support services for vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and North Yorkshire. The donations will be distributed among families and single people who are living in temporary and supported accommodation this Christmas. Some of the toys are brand new and will be wrapped up for the children as Christmas presents from Santa. A generous donation will help to create a beautiful garden area at our homeless service in Keighley. Computershare Loan Services has donated £1,000 to Horton Housing’s STAY at Home (Keighley) service to transform a disused piece of land at the back of its premises. STAY at Home provides accommodation and support to people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness in the Keighley area. They work with clients who have multiple or complex needs including issues with domestic violence, substance misuse, mental health and learning difficulties.
