Horton Housing also has the following accreditations:

We have also signed up to Mindful Employer’s Charter for Employers Positive about Mental Health.
Horton Housing has an active Equality and Diversity group which reviews the association’s policies and procedures, produces a quarterly newsletter and initiates new projects. A recent example of this was introducing rainbow lanyards to show that LGBT+ people, whether they are clients, employees, carers or the public, are in a positive, safe and inclusive environment.
Chief Executive Officer Paul Gartland said: “Equality and diversity underpins everything we do at Horton Housing. We help vulnerable people live the best life they can, and that includes respecting and celebrating diversity.
“We are very proud to achieve this recognition from the National Centre for Diversity and full credit goes to our employees who work together to make Horton Housing an inclusive organisation.”
Solat Chaudhry, CEO of the National Centre for Diversity said “Horton Housing jumping up a massive 30 places in our Top 100 Index. Wow. What a super achievement! This is so hard to do especially this year when the performance of our Top 100 UK organisations as a whole has gone up exponentially in the last 12-18 months.
“Horton Housing have jumped up at a time when everyone else has also significantly improved making their achievement, simply awesome. I’m so proud of the team at Horton. They have proved themselves to be a truly fair and decent organisation that is confident around diversity.
“Particular congratulations go to Jayne Higgins and their CEO Paul Gartland. Without brilliant leadership and management this massive achievement could not have happened.”
