The group aims to support Syrian women to learn more about the UK and British culture. We are looking for the group to join in with activities and opportunities in the wider community and to build their own individuality. As the group grows, we will be looking at running other sessions in the evening.
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who is working towards either a Counselling degree, Social Work, Mental Health or a similar accreditation. The ability to speak and understand Arabic would be an advantage.
Intensive Housing Management Volunteer
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to support our busy Intensive Housing Management Team, based in Halifax. The service provides short-term accommodation for people over the age of 18 with support needs.
You will be helping us to keep the team’s administrative systems up to date and supporting us with a variety of ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone to use or enhance their IT and organisational skills. We are looking for someone who would like to gain hands on experience in business administration or if you are interested in working in the Social Housing sector, we want to hear from you. In return we will provide you with out of pocket expenses, relevant training and support to identify development opportunities.
