For many years I have admired and respected Horton Housing’s amazing work supporting the most disadvantaged people in the local area and I am keen to use my experience and expertise to help to promote innovation and further improve the already very high standards set. I have always firmly believed that good quality social housing provides a very sound base for improving lives.
Married with two adult sons, I am the director of a property investment company and housing consultancy company. I have wide experience of the private, independent and public sectors at director and CEO level and believe that these skills help me contribute effectively to the Board.
Being a member of the Horton Housing Board has allowed me to continue developing new skills, approaches and team dynamics, as well as forging board and management relationships. The vibrant and collaborative environment allows us to continually innovate. Having the opportunity to meet and share ideas with staff and tenants helps us really understand what we are doing well and what we can improve on.
And finally the two most important snippets of information. I’m a massive Bob Dylan fan and life-long Bradford (Park Avenue) supporter!
John is a member of the Chartford Housing Limited Board and the Group Asset Management and Development Committee.
