Having left my previous role at a large bank after 24 years, I had a lot of free time that I wanted to use effectively and to give back to society. I joined the Horton Housing Board because the organisation and its ethos is aligned with my experiences of being a landlord and it allowed me to keep up to date with industry expectations and best practices. Now I’m here, the knowledge that I am giving something back is hugely rewarding and gratifying.
In addition to a progressive career at Lloyds, I have been a residential property landlord for over 20 years. Since leaving the bank, I’m now a full-time landlord and property developer.
As a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and also the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership qualities to the Board.
Three facts about me:
- I’m a chairman and manager of a local junior football club
- I’m a season ticket holder at Huddersfield Town
- I enjoy walking and cycling
