STAY in Millhaven is a supported accommodation service which is part of the STAY Multiple Needs Service. The hostel has 20 units of accommodation which are for women only. 

The hostel is located in the Manningham area of Bradford. Each unit of accommodation is self-contained with support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 


The service also provides a number of dispersed accommodation units for both men and women which comes under the strand of STAY in the Community. Dispersed properties are located in Bradford, Shipley and Keighley and include one and two bedroom terraced houses, one bedroom self-contained flats and self-contained bedsits. There is a lower level of on-site staffing but support is available 24/7. 


STAY Multiple Needs Service is for men and women aged 16 and over, with or without children. Typically, those receiving the services will have a high degree of housing need and may have experienced periods of homelessness or are experiencing unsettled lifestyles. 


To provide high quality housing-related support services to vulnerable people, which is responsive to their needs and aspirations in order to prevent them from becoming homeless. 


To support and encourage clients to develop new and existing skills and gain confidence in their abilitiy to manage their own homes independently.

To access this service, applicants will have to be assessed as eligible by Bradford Council’s Housing Options Service Single Point of Access (Gateway) – contact details are given below.
To be considered for the service, an applicant does not have to have a recognised diagnosis in terms of mental health or specific disability. The focus of the service is on the most vulnerable individuals with the highest level of need.
