BRICSS is a 14 bed accommodation unit that along with Bevan Healthcare, work with clients who are homeless, inadequately housed and need health input to offer short term temporary accommodation for clients who are discharged from hospital. It will bring together clinical, social care and housing/homelessness practitioners who will work alongside an established hospital-based in-reach ‘Pathway’ team to identify suitable clients, ensure continuity of clinical care and improve health outcomes. The service is short term, and will be the link for clients to other appropriate services, that can offer longer term support to the individual.
To prevent and address homelessness.
To provide high quality temporary accommodation to clients who are homeless on discharge from hospital, along with access to healthcare which are responsive to their needs, circumstances and aspirations.
To support and encourage clients to develop existing skills and gain confidence in their ability to manage their own homes independently.
Fully furnished and equipped units, including laundry facilities.
