Ray Milne joined the Horton board in 2013 after several years as a trustee of Buttershaw based Ripple Drug and Alcohol Services.
Ray qualified as an actuary on his way to becoming Marketing Director for Scottish Life in Edinburgh before joining Bank of Scotland in 2000 to head up a new Investments division. Following the BoS/Halifax merger Ray moved to Yorkshire to become MD of Halifax Financial Services and following the Lloyds acquisition of HBOS he is currently Business Risk Director for all Retail Products across Halifax, Lloyds and Bank of Scotland..
He is a past Vice President of the Chartered Insurance Institute and was a member of the council of the Faculty of Actuaries for many years.
A workaholic with a capacity for detail, Ray somehow manages to spend time with his wife and four children in Huddersfield by not playing much golf (for which he lacks talent), though he still plays a mean game of snooker.
