Support and Administration volunteer
The team at our Bradford Homeless Partnership scheme are looking for a volunteer in an administration and support role, which will involve dealing with paperwork, using internal systems to record client information, meeting and greeting clients and visitors and answering the telephone. They are looking for someone who can give a few hours per week to support the busy team who support vulnerable people. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience in the housing sector whilst building on your own experience and knowledge.
Evening and Weekend Activities volunteer
Staff at Craven Homeless Hub in Skipton are looking for a volunteer to help them to provide a wide range of client activities. The role will be a varied one, based on providing a wide range of services to our clients and their interests and needs. We are looking for volunteers on weekday, evenings and weekends. The role is flexible to suit your availability. No formal qualifications are needed for the role – but we are looking for someone who is patient, understanding and empathetic, has good communication skills, an ability to deliver workshops/sessions, understands the principles of client involvement and has a good understanding of verbal and written English.
Befriender for Connecting Opportunities
Join the Connecting Opportunities team as a Befriender volunteer, based in Bradford. Connecting Opportunities helps new migrants to develop their skills and provide them with opportunities to find work and be part of the local community. Staff are looking for someone who is willing to spend time with clients doing social activities once a week. The volunteer should be non-judgemental and can encourage someone who needs support with social interaction.
No Second Night Out support volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to support our No Second Night Out Team based in Halifax. The No Second Night Out service is a housing related support and outreach service for people who are rough sleeping or sofa surfing and not engaging with other services. The volunteer will assist the team with a variety of client focused and general tasks ranging from assisting with assessments, supporting clients to attend appointments, helping with applying for benefits and the promotion of the long term aim of independence. We are looking for someone who can give us a few hours each week of their time to support this busy team and help vulnerable people while at the same time gaining some experience in the social care field.
